Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has leapt to the defence of under-fire Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and has insisted that the Argentine is still the right man for the job.
A report in the Telegraph has claimed that Pochettino is edging close to the point of no return and could be sacked if he fails to turn the team’s fortunes around in the next few games.
Parlour insisted that the 47-year-old was preferable to the likes of José Mourinho and Massimiliano Allegri who have been linked with the job and claimed that the club should back him in the upcoming transfer windows.

Even if we were to part ways with Pochettino, I believe it should be at the end of the campaign so that we have more of a choice when it comes to choosing our next manager. Poch deserves time and backing to help turn things around and I still believe he is capable of returning us to the heights of a couple of seasons ago.
