Video: Former club chairman explains why Levy will not hesitate to sack Mourinho

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has claimed that Jose Mourinho is not a good fit for Tottenham given the stage of his career he is now in.

Jordan recalled how a charismatic Mourinho revolutionised English football when he first arrived at Chelsea a decade and a half ago.

He credited the Spurs boss for being a pioneer for other foreign managers who have graced the Premier League since but believes that the Portuguese coach doesn’t have the same dynamism that he once did.

Jordan also insisted that Daniel Levy will not hesitate to get rid of Mourinho if Spurs lose out on Champions League revenue for a sustained period:

I actually think we have got Jose at the right time in his career. He might not be as charismatic as he was in his younger days but he seems much calmer and more laid back at present. It is extremely unfair to judge Jose until he’s had at least one more transfer window and a pre-season to get his ideas across to the squad.
