Former Premier League referee, Dermot Gallagher has revealed that it was inevitable that Man United’s goal would be chalked off against Spurs on Sunday.
The Red Devils put the ball in the back of the net via Edinson Cavani but it was ruled out for a foul on Heung-min Son in the build-up when Scott McTominay caught him in the face with a loose hand.
Gallagher claimed that, while he would not call it a foul himself, once the referee watched the incident in slow-motion, it was inevitable that the decision would go Spurs’ way.
