Former Premier League referee, Dermot Gallagher has claimed that Japhet Tanganga was correctly shown a red card against Crystal Palace this weekend.
The Spurs academy graduate was first shown a yellow card after a foul on Wilfried Zaha, which was followed by a scuffle between the two players.
Gallagher argued that a yellow card was fair for that situation as neither player was truly violent in their actions.
However, Tanganga then went to ground a few minutes later, catching a Palace player late and picking up his second yellow, which Gallagher claimed was fair.

Spurs Web Opinion:
No Spurs fans can have any complaints with Tanganga getting a red card for those two incidents. I saw some argue that Zaha should have seen red, but I do not agree. I think he was just on the right side of the line for a yellow and, given that logic, Tanganga could have had two yellows for the original foul and subsequent scuffle.
