Video: Former Premier League chairman believes Pochettino return would be a mistake

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur would be making a mistake in appointing Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach.

The Athletic reported earlier today that Tottenham have held talks with Pochettino about a sensational return to North London, with the Argentine open to the idea.

Jordan stressed that Pochettino at the best Spurs squad at his disposal for the past few decades but was unable to pip Leicester City to the Premier League title.

The 52-year-old believes that Spurs have gone in a different direction since he was sacked by Daniel Levy in November 2019 and accused the chairman of ‘low-balling this one’, however did admit he would be a popular choice with the North London faithful.
