Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson has claimed that he still believes that Jose Mourinho’s side can finish in the top four this season.
Tottenham spurned the opportunity to close the gap on the likes of Chelsea and West Ham after they suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
Robinson believes there were plenty of positives coming out of Tottenham prior to their trip to the Emirates having played open, expansive football and was surprised to see the team sit deep and try to defend against Arsenal.
The ex-England international assumed that Spurs would set up to attack Arsenal given the fact that their side included Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura, Heung-min Son and Tanguy Ndombele but failed to threaten Mikel Arteta’s side on a regular basis.
Robinson has seen enough from Spurs in the games leading up to the North London derby defeat that there is still an opportunity to qualify for Champions League football.
