Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has questioned whether Mauricio Pochettino is the answer to potentially take over at Manchester United.
Bent admits he cannot understand why some supporters call for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be replaced with the former Spurs boss when the Argentine failed to win any silverware during his time in North London.
While Bent acknowledged that Pochettino was superb at Spurs, he claimed that he was unsure whether the 48-year-old can get the best out of the United squad.
United bounced back from their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Spurs prior to the international break after leaving it late to beat Newcastle United 4-1 at St James’ Park last night.
Pochettino has been out of work since last November after he was sacked by Daniel Levy following the club’s poor start to the 2019/20 campaign.
