Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has revealed he would welcome the prospect of Mauricio Pochettino managing Arsenal.
The Argentine was sacked by Daniel Levy on Tuesday night after five-and-a-half years in charge of the Champions League finalists.
Bent, who is a boyhood Arsenal fan believes that the former Spurs boss would be a good fit to take over at the Emirates.
Arsenal players are said to have lost faith in current manager Unai Emery and do not believe he is the right man to take the club forward (Telegraph).
Pochettino guided Spurs to four successive top four finishes during his time at the club but paid the price for a poor start to the new campaign.
He has previously said that he would never manage Arsenal, instead claiming that he would rather work on a farm (Standard).
“I’d take him at Arsenal tomorrow!”
“Arsenal fans would love to have him. Has he got that in him? I’m not sure.””@DarrenBent says he would love to see Mauricio Pochettino as Arsenal manager.
