Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson has admitted that he would not blame Christian Eriksen if he is tempted to leave North London.
The Dane is out of contract with the Premier League side next summer and has been linked with possible moves to Real Madrid (Express) along with Barcelona (ESPN).
Robinson acknowledged the importance of the urgency to try and get the playmaker to commit to a new deal or risk him agreeing on a pre-contract deal with a new employer in January.
If a new deal cannot be reached, Spurs face the prospect of potentially selling Eriksen at the end of the season or he could walk away from the club for nothing a year later.
Since his move from Ajax in 2013, he has become a pivotal part of the Spurs squad.
