Jamie O’Hara had admitted that he regrets leaving Tottenham Hotspur to join Wolverhampton Wanderers.
O’Hara featured regularly under Juande Ramos but when the Spaniard was sacked and replaced by Harry Redknapp, he found his first team opportunities limited to appearances in the Carabao Cup and Europa League.
The midfielder departed White Hart Lane in 2011 as a 24-year-old following a £5million move to Wolves, who were at the time a Championship club after an initial loan spell the season prior (Express and Star).
O’Hara believes that he should have remained at his boyhood club and in hindsight claims that his decision to step down to a smaller side is something he should not have done.
“The only [regret] I’d say is leaving Spurs when I did & going to Wolves.”
“I was a real part of that football club.”
“I took that step down & a step up never materialised. I should have stayed at the top [with #THFC].”@MrJamieOHara1 reveals his biggest regret in football ? pic.twitter.com/63kMcH3Mnn
