Video: Former Spurs star calls on Nuno to start 25-year-old against Villa

Jamie O’Hara has urged Nuno Espirito Santo to play Giovani Lo Celso ahead of Dele Alli for the clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Alli has been employed on the left of a three-man midfield by Nuno so far this season.

The England international started the campaign strongly and was one of Tottenham’s best players for the first couple of weeks but his performances against Chelsea and Arsenal left a lot to be desired.

O’Hara has claimed that the 25-year-old is not suited to the box-to-box role that Nuno is employing him in and insisted that Lo Celso should be used in that position on the back of his impressive display against NS Mura on Thursday.

Watch what O’Hara told Sky Sports about Alli and Lo Celso:

I would like Nuno to try out a midfield three of Skipp, Ndombele and Lo Celso against Villa. Given the criticism he has been getting for his negative approach, the Portuguese coach might as well throw caution to the wind on Sunday and see if it works.
