Tottenham Hotspur’s first-team right-back for the last few seasons, Kieran Trippier, has now completed his move to Spanish side Atletico Madrid (BBC).

Tripps was sold by Spurs for around £20m, four years after the club purchased him from Burnley for just £3.5m (Guardian).

Trippier has been a huge part of the new project under Mauricio Pochettino, as well as Tottenham’s first-ever Champions League final campaign last season.

He will forever be a part of Tottenham’s history, but we must now wish him well for the future. Check out his first interview for Atletico below:

  1. TRIPPIER.

I think its a big mistake letting him go, he was one of the stars of the World cup, and yes his form did go off towards the end of the season, but so did many others. He will be had to replace, especially as he was sold for only £22 million, as that amount wont buy another player of his standing.
And to make matters worse, they were offered a center forward in return, but said no, we want the money. This would have been the ideal opportunity to have got cover for Harry at a very low price, whereas there need to spend £50 million minimum to buy another player, so its a double wammy.
