Few Tottenham fans will need reminding of the Champions League semi-final second leg tie against Ajax last season, and Lucas Moura will certainly be able to recall every detail.
While the 45-minute second half Moura hat-trick in Amsterdam will likely have left many at Ajax scarred, former midfielder Frenkie de Jong has now revealed that he still has a Lucas’ shirt from the encounter.
In a live interview on the Barcelona app and YouTube account, De Jong was showing off his football shirt collection, which included a Moura shirt from the first leg against Spurs.
De Jong said (Barcelona at 21:!2 onwards): “I have one which is really painful actually. It’s from Lucas Moura. This is from the first one when we had a win away against the Spurs with Ajax, but then, in the return, he scored a hat-trick and we got knocked… so it’s a bit painful actually, the shirt.”
The midfielder completed his exit from the Dutch club last summer when he made a £65m move to La Liga giants Barcelona (BBC).
