Gareth Bale could not contain his delight after Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup fourth round.

The Welshman was in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch his team-mates progress to the quarter final after a penalty shoot out victory.

A camera was fixed on Bale as he looked on while Spurs leading 5-4 and with Mason Mount about to step up and take the tenth penalty.

The Chelsea midfielder could only manage to clip the outside of the post with his effort which left Bale to celebrate his side’s victory.

The 31-year-old, who is currently out injured could take to the field in the next round with the quarter final stage not set to take place until December.
