Gareth Bale played his first 90 minutes of the season against the Republic of Ireland yesterday evening in the Nations League, helping his side to a 1-0 victory.
The Welshman started the game for his country and even assisted the winner, setting up David Brooks with a header at the back post.
Bale would have taken extra joy from the fact that it was his Spurs teammate, Matt Doherty who lost out to the winger in the air, something Gareth will surely mention back at Hotspur Way.
