Video: Gareth Bale will not use his private jet to travel to London

Sky Sports News have claimed that Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon will both fly from Madrid to London tomorrow before signing for Tottenham Hotspur.

It has already been arranged for the pair to fly to the capital in a private jet with negotiations having continued to have proved to be productive overnight while no agreement has been signed as of yet.

The deal is expected to be concluded before the Real Madrid pair travel tomorrow and will Bale’s private jet, but will instead utilise an aircraft which has been organised by Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale is known to own a Cessna Citation XL Plus, which is valued at £9.35million and uses it to fly back and forth from Spain to the UK (Daily Mail).

Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett revealed on Wednesday that talks between all parties had been slowly progressing whilst admitting that the Welshman was close to leaving the Spanish giants (BBC).

The arrival of Bale and Reguilon will represent a huge boost to Tottenham’s hopes of pushing for a top four finish this season. While Ben Davies is a steady player, he does not pose the same attacking threat which Reguilon offers down the left flank.

As for Bale, we finally have a player who can take a game by the scruff of the neck and turn around a result.
