Video: Gary Neville makes Harry Kane signing claims about Man Utd and Man City

Gary Neville has insisted that Erik Ten Hag should not think twice about bringing Harry Kane to Old Trafford if it were possible to sign the Tottenham striker this summer.

Kane is into the final two years of his contract at Tottenham but, according to reports, the North London club have no intention of selling him this summer (Football.London’s Alasdair Gold).

This week, the England captain hinted that he would be open to committing his future to Spurs if Antonio Conte stays, admitting that he is loving working with the Italian (Evening Standard).

Neville has now spoken in glowing terms about Kane’s quality and professionalism, insisting that it would be a no-brainer for the Red Devils to be in for the 28-year-old if he were available.

However, the pundit admitted that his former club ‘absolutely won’t’ be able to get Kane from Tottenham this summer or his teammate Son Heung-min.

Neville also argued that Man City would be in the Champions League final right now if they had signed Harry Kane last summer.

This statement will not go down well with Spurs fans, particularly given that Neville was the one who interviewed Kane about leaving Tottenham last summer. However, in the former Man Utd man’s defence, he does admit that the Red Devils have no chance of being able to snap up the striker from Spurs this summer.
