Video: Graeme Souness criticises Harry Kane after Chelsea loss

Graeme Souness has criticised Harry Kane’s positioning within the current Tottenham formation after watching the North Londoners suffer a 3-0 defeat to rivals Chelsea on their home turf.

The former Liverpool player believes that Kane should be playing further up the pitch, rather than looking to try to drop into midfield areas.

Souness, who played in midfield during his career claimed that Kane should mix up his style and look to come looking for the ball on occasions, but at present, is playing too far down the pitch and needs someone to remind him that his main role is to operate as a striker.

Kane’s frustrating start to the Premier League campaign continued, having not found the back of the net in his opening four top flight matches.

Tottenham are next in action on Wednesday evening when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup and then make the trip to the Emirates next Sunday for the North London derby against Arsenal in the Premier League.
