Graham Roberts has drawn comparisons between the potential appointment of Paulo Fonseca with Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival in England at Southampton before going on to make a name for himself at Tottenham.
The former Spurs defender believes that Fonseca must have potential having managed at Shakhtar Donetsk and AS Roma, but decided to err on the side of caution in not assuming that it is a done deal.
Tottenham have previously pulled out of talks with former Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte having had concerns over his perceived reluctance to utilise some of the younger members of the squad (Sky Sports).
The Telegraph have claimed that Fonseca is confident of wrapping up a deal to succeed Jose Mourinho.
🗣”We will have to wait and see.”
