Harry Kane reserved high praise for Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte after the striker scored twice to secure a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Kane was at the heart of Tottenham’s 3-1 win against Brighton last night and he broke the deadlock in the first half with a beautiful curling effort and a marauding run from Emerson Royal led to a second.
After Brighton started the second half with a fresh impetus and got their reward for their efforts having pulled a goal back, Kane benefitted from a brilliant driving run from Heung-min Son to tap home from close range.
After the match, Kane was asked about the impact that the Italian has had since taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo in November and credited Conte for changing the mindset of a lot of members within the squad.
The victory keeps alive Tottenham’s hopes of ending their fourteen-year wait for a piece of competitive silverware.
💬 “He’s been brilliant – I can’t speak highly enough of him as a coach or as a person. He’s really changed the mindset of a lot of players in the team.”@HKane is loving working with Antonio Conte 🤝
