Tottenham Hotspur have broken the deadlock against Burnley deep into first half injury time courtesy of a Harry Kane penalty.
Spurs looked as if they were heading into the break level at 0-0 having been frustrated in their attacking efforts by the Clarets who have been defending in numbers.
VAR’s intervention saw Kevin Friend head to the Referee Review Area and awarded a penalty to Spurs for a handball by Ashley Barnes in the box.
Kane was up against an England team-mate for the second time in four days from twelve yards out but gave Nick Pope no chance with his effort which hit the side netting.
