Video: Harry Winks makes admission after completing Sampdoria move

After completing his loan switch to Sampdoria, Harry Winks has claimed that he has always wanted to play in Serie A.

Sampdoria confirmed on Tuesday that they had reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign Winks on a season-long loan deal with an option to make it permanent.

The Spurs academy graduate has struggled for game time in North London over the past two years and will be looking to get his career back on track at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Antonio Conte admitted that while he would have preferred to keep Winks at Tottenham as a squad player, the midfielder was keen to get regular game time (Football.London).

After landing in Genoa, Winks spoke about his excitement at making the switch to the Italian club.

I personally think Winks is too good for Sampdoria and I am convinced that he can take the Serie A by storm once he builds up his confidence. I fully expect him to end up at a much bigger club in 12 months.
