Video: ‘He never said that’ – Gary Neville defends Harry Kane over recent interview

Gary Neville moved to clarify his interview with Harry Kane last week in which he spoke to the Tottenham Hotspur striker about his future.

The Daily Mail reported in a story following the interview that ‘Kane has opened up on his desire to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window’.

Neville insisted that the England captain never said that he wanted to leave Tottenham during any part of the interview for The Overlap. instead reiterating that Kane said there is a conversation to be had with Daniel Levy and if the chairman wanted to accept a bid for him.

While the former Manchester United defender admits that Kane is at a reflection point in his career he also stated that he would not be surprised if he was still at the club next season.

The Athletic claimed last week that Kane is determined to depart North London this summer, having been ‘desperate’ to get out for some time.
