Son missed Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Fulham due to national duty as his side pushes to win gold in order for Son to become exempt from 21 months national service.
The 26-year-old’s stunning volley put South Korea ahead in the 63rd minute, a goal which proved the winning one.
