Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son won the Premier League Golden Boot award with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah on a dramatic final day of the season, and proceeded to give a short speech to his teammates in the changing room.

Son started proceedings a goal behind Salah but scored twice as Spurs thumped Norwich 5-0 at Carrow Road to secure his side a place in next season’s Champions League.

Meanwhile, Salah added one to his tally as Liverpool overcame Wolves, with the win at Anfield not enough to wrestle the league title off of Manchester City.

It means both men will end the campaign as joint winners with 23 goals each, five ahead of the next closest competitor Cristiano Ronaldo (BBC Sport).

Son joins strike partner Harry Kane in winning the award, who has earned it on three previous occasions.

The prize was last split in the 2018-19 campaign when Salah shared it with teammate Sadio Mane and former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Premier League).

Son has been in imperious form all season at the front and thoroughly deserves to have his hands on this award.

It was a shame that Salah added an extra goal on the final day as it would have been nice for him to have the title on his own, but he won’t care about that having caught up with the leader.
