Tottenham Hotspur have taken the lead against Liverpool in what could be a crucial goal for both sides.
Antonio Conte’s side have defended for their lives during the encounter at Anfield which saw Virgil van Dijk hit the crossbar with a header and the home side having dominated the ball.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also struck the woodwork before half time and it was Tottenham who managed to break the deadlock to silence the home support.
The move started when Hugo Lloris played a raking pass to Emerson Royal and the Brazilian found Harry Kane who brilliantly brought the ball under control and drove forward and rather than looking to shoot he fed Ryan Sessegnon, who in turn squared for Heung-min Son to tap home.
There’s still a long way to go in this one, but it is Spurs have the advantage.
