Spurs have taken the lead after fourteen minutes of action against Vitesse Arnhem at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Heung-min Son will go down in the history books as the player who scored the first goal of the Antonio Conte era.

The goal came when Lucas Moura’s shot on goal was parried by the goalkeeper and the ball eventually fell to the feet of the South Korean inside the right-hand side of the penalty area and he made no mistake with his effort back across goal.

There was a nervy moment for the home side at the third minute when Ben Davies appeared to bring down a Vitesse in the box, however the referee decided that went down to easily and waved it away.

Vitesse had earlier enjoyed two opportunities to break the deadlock, but it was Spurs who took the deserved lead.
