While the hunger of some of the Tottenham Hotspur players is being called into question by pundits, nobody can argue with Heung-min Son’s desire (Sky Sports).
The South Korean had a brilliant opportunity to put his side 2-0 ahead against Liverpool on 48 minutes when he raced clear, took the ball around Allison, but the angle narrowed and his effort cannoned back off the crossbar.
Liverpool certainly took advantage and punished Spurs for their lack of ability to kill off the game when presented with chances when Jurgen Klopp’s side scored two second half goals.
After the match, Son was captured on camera applauding the Spurs faithful who had made the trip to Anfield and also held his hands up in apology.
Opinion
Son certainly has nothing to apologise about to the Spurs supporter base, every time he plays for us he gives his all.
It should instead be the likes of Christian Eriksen and Serge Aurier who should have been apologising for their shocking performance.
