Tottenham Hotspur’s Troy Parrott has followed up his impressive pre-season with a fantastic start to the new campaign after scoring for the Republic of Ireland U21 team.
On his debut for the U21 side against Armenia, Parrott was able to follow into the box and slot home a cool finish to make it an even more memorable night.
However, what struck me was how well the 17-year-old spoke in his post-match interview as he seems wise and hungry well beyond his years.
He also added at the end that he is enjoying football and feels that he is on a good run after making the Spurs Champions League squad, and just wants to keep going.
How impressed have you been with this young man?
"It just goes to show the talent Ireland have at underage level at all levels.
