Video: Hugo Lloris admits that Tottenham are lacking in ‘confidence’

Hugo Lloris has admitted that there was a lot of disappointment in the Tottenham dressing room after their lacklustre performance against Brighton on Sunday.

Graham Potter’s side could have arguably won by a bigger margin if they had taken their chances as Spurs failed to create anything substantial going forward.

The game was Lloris’ 350th appearance in a Tottenham shirt but the club captain admitted that he does not take any joy from the milestone after the team’s poor display.

The 33-year-old revealed that the team is short of confidence at the moment but insisted that the good feeling around the camp will be back as soon as they get another win under their belt.

Here’s what Lloris told Spurs TV after the 1-0 defeat the Amex which one again saw them fail to close the gap on the top four.

The first-half performance yesterday was up there with the poorest halves of football we have produced in the last decade or so.

The one thing that the game proved was that we will struggle to create anything of note if we lack a focal point up front, considering the way Mourinho sets us up. I believe the Tottenham boss will hand Vinicius a start against Chelsea on Thursday.
