Jose Mourinho revealed in an interview with TalkSPORT that he cried and prayed after watching Christian Eriksen collapse in his Euro 2020 match against Finland yesterday.
Fortunately, after receiving treatment on the pitch towards the end of the first half, Eriksen was later taken to hospital and stabilised (Sky News).
Mourinho said that he had talked with Tottenham star, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who seemed confident about Eriksen’s condition. Eriksen, of course, also played under Mourinho for a spell towards the end of his Spurs career.
“I prayed yesterday, I cried yesterday.”
“God was looking at football.” 🙏
