Tottenham’s decision to cut the wages of 550 non-playing staff by 20% for April and May and apply for government furlough has received a lot of criticism over the last few days.
However, reports indicate that Daniel Levy is set to follow through with his initial decision and has no intention of changing it (Telegraph).
Former Liverpool Jamie Carragher has perhaps delivered the most brutal assessment of Tottenham’s decision yet.
While discussing the Reds’ move to reverse their decision, Carragher claimed that he and the rest of the footballing world probably expected the likes of Daniel Levy to furlough staff.

If Daniel Levy does not reverse his decision, it is safe to say that he can expect to receive a big backlash from the fan base. Hopefully, he realises the kind of PR disaster his decision is turning into and follows Liverpool’s lead by reversing it and apologising.
