Video: “I’ll give as much as I can” – Defender vows to improve at Tottenham

Japhet Tanganga has expressed his delight after signing a new five-year contract with the club.

This year has been a rollercoaster ride for the youngster, who established himself as an important part of the side prior to the lockdown.

However, stress fracture of his back has prevented the 21-year-old from carrying on his good work following the restart.

After committing his future to the club, the defender insisted that he will continue working hard to improve every single day.

He insisted that the contract was a reward for all the hard work he has put in over the years and admitted to dreaming of winning trophies with the club.

One thing that is immediately apparent with Tanganga is how level headed and calm he is. Both on and off the pitch, the maturity he shows is indicative of an experienced player rather than someone who is just breaking through. Given how hungry he seems to be to learn, the youngster seems like a coach’s joy to work with and it is not surprising that Jose has really taken to him.
