Toby Alderweireld was back in the starting line-up for Spurs last night as they collected a victory and a clean sheet against Everton in the Premier League.
This was the Belgian’s first start under Mourinho since the restart of domestic football, with the Special One having preferred Eric Dier and Davonson Sanchez until now.
Sanchez dropped out of the XI and Alderweireld appeared to steady the ship after Spurs conceded three against Sheffield United in the previous match.
In his post-match interview, Toby claimed that he was just a small piece of the puzzle, while adding that Dier is playing well at centre back.
