An impressive video has surfaced online which shows a time lapse footage of the new grass pitch being laid at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
The turf had been prepared in the Netherlands and was transported to the UK in 23 refrigerated lorries over the course of three days.
It took the workers two days to lay the new playing surface at the 62,062 seater stadium and the video shows just how much work and preparation went into ensuring that the pitch was laid correctly.
The grass pitch sits on three pitch-long steel trays, weighing more than 3,000 tonnes each. The surface will split into three sections to show each tray before retracting under the South Stand to reveal the artificial NFL playing surface underneath.
The process of switching from one surface to another is expected to take approximately 25 minutes.
