Video: In-form Dane Scarlett scores brace for Portsmouth against Peterborough

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Dane Scarlett continues his impressive run of form yesterday having helped Portsmouth to a 2-1 win against Peterborough United.

The 18-year-old joined Pompey earlier this summer on a season-long loan deal as part of his first experience of regular first-team football away from north London where he has risen through the academy ranks.

Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley once again named the England Under-21 international in his starting eleven for the visit of Posh to Fratton Park and was repaid in spades for his faith in the teenager.

Scarlett came into the match on the back of their last League One fixture where the forward scored the only goal of the game against Port Vale and was back among the goals yesterday.

The Hillingdon-born product found the back of the net in the 38th minute when he showed good instinct to get ahead of his marker to head home at the near post.

His second, which proved to be the matchwinner came twenty minutes from time and he showed good footwork inside the penalty area to create space to fire his shot low into the bottom corner.
