Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has questioned Jose Mourinho’s decision to criticise Dele Alli.
Mourinho accused Dele of “creating problems for his own team” in Tottenham’s 3-1 Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Stoke City yesterday evening.
The 26-year-old lost possession after attempting a flick from which Stoke went on to score to level the score with their first shot of the match and was soon substituted (BBC).
O’Hara does not understand what Mourinho is gaining by criticising the player in the media insisting that it does not sit right with him and he should instead be helping the former MK Dons man
The 34-year-old also claimed that rather than further damaging his confidence and potentially harming any re-sale value should the club look to sell the England international.
😫 “What’s Jose gaining by digging out Alli for that performance!?”
😡 “He keeps singling Dele out and it doesn’t sit right with me.”
