Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Andy Robertson escaped a broken leg after being on the receiving end of a challenge from Harry Kane.
Klopp was asked for his opinion on the challenge by the Tottenham Hotspur forward after his side were held to a 2-2 draw in North London earlier this evening.
Kane was shown a yellow card by referee Paul Tierney during the first half shortly after he had put Spurs ahead in the game when his sliding challenge caught the Liverpool full-back on the shin.
The Reds boss admitted that Robertson deserved his red card late in the second half after he hacked down Emerson Royal while insisting that Kane definitely should have been giving his marching orders in the first half.
Kane was also asked for his opinion on the tackle after the match and insisted that he deserved to remain on the pitch by highlighting that he won the ball (Sky Sports).
