Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has claimed that the players will be ashamed of their 7-2 drubbing by Bayern Munich.
Tuesday night’s result was the lowest point of the Mauricio Pochettino era in North London following a diabolical second half display in the Champions League.
Jenas highlighted Tottenham’s inability to dig in and hold onto a lead which has happened on a number of occasions this season, notably against Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Leicester City and Olympiacos.
He believes that the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son should be dropping deeper to help out their team mates with defensive responsibilities.
This afternoon, they have the opportunity to start to put things right with a win at Brighton.
"It's a massively low moment for the football club .. they'll be ashamed."@jjenas8 was shocked by the scale of Spurs' capitulation on Tuesday but it was a result he felt was coming.#EarlyKickOff pic.twitter.com/xt5Ao38A6t
