Ivan Perisic was at the heart of Croatia’s positive first-half performance against Canada this evening, recording a lovely reverse-pass assist for his country’s equaliser.
Canada took the lead through an Alphonso Davies header just 69 seconds into the game, but Croatia soon clicked into gear with their quick passing and cut-throat progression.
Perisic helped to level things by slipping Andrej Kramaric in behind for Croatia’s first, before they added a second through Livaja soon after.
The Spurs winger continued to threaten right up to the half-time whistle, which will come as no surprise to Tottenham fans, with Perisic having recorded seven assists across all competitions this season (TransferMarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:
Perisic doesn’t have the legs he once had, but if you get him up to the byline or one-vs-one with a defender, he still delivers a lethal ball into the box, hence why he has recorded so many assists without actually setting the world alight for Spurs.
