Unfortunately for Japhet Tanganga, his first Premier League appearance of the season for Tottenham was an evening to forget at the Etihad in Manchester.
Spurs fell to a 3-0 defeat courtesy of goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri, with Tanganga lining up at right-back to replace the missing Serge Aurier.
The Tottenham academy graduate claimed that the penalty changed the game against Pep Guardiola’s side, adding that Man City showed their quality in the second 45 and were the better team over the 90 minutes.
