Video: Jermaine Jenas defends Jose Mourinho’s social media antics in heated debate

Jermaine Jenas has leapt to the defence of Jose Mourinho after the Spurs boss was criticised for an Instagram post this week.

Mourinho has recently become active on the social media website and has come up with some rather humorous posts this season.

After Tottenham’s win over Burnley on Monday, Mourinho posted a picture of several of his players with their eyes glued to their phones inside the dressing room, along with the caption: “After a great victory in a really hard match… Sign of the times. Well done boys. #COYS”

The Spurs boss once again took to Instagram after Tottenham’s defeat against Royal Antwerp in midweek to post a picture of him looking sad on the bus.

The caption this time read: “Bad performances deserve bad results. Hope everyone in this bus is as upset as I am. Tomorrow 11 AM training.”

Arsenal legend, Martin Keown was not a fan of the Spurs boss’ social media post, referring to it as ‘childish’ and insisting that the 57-year-old should have kept his thoughts inside the dressing room (talkSPORT).

However, Jenas passionately defended Mourinho’s Instagram activity and insisted that it was a great platform for the Portuguese coach to show his humour and personality.
