Video: Jermaine Jenas pinpoints what Spurs must do to keep Harry Kane

Jermaine Jenas believes that Tottenham Hotspur must break back into the Champions League if they are to have any hope of keeping Harry Kane at the club.

The England captain admitted in an Instagram live interview with Jamie Redknapp that he would not remain in North London if he does not feel the club are progressing as a team or going in the right direction (Daily Mail).

Tottenham missed out on qualification for the first time in five years for European football’s top club competition after finishing sixth in the Premier League table and will instead have to make do with Europa League football.

Jenas claims that Kane deserves to be playing his football on the highest stage while also challenging for titles.

The former midfielder highlighted how he has seen other players outgrow the club including Gareth Bale, Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Carrick and Luka Modric.

Jenas is hopeful that Spurs can get back on track under Jose Mourinho this season and secure a top four finish which could keep Kane at the club.
