Tottenham Hotspur winger, Heung Min Son, was named in the Ballon d’Or shortlist just 24 hours before last night’s Champions League game against Red Star Belgrade.
As if to prove his inclusion, the South Korean took the game by the scruff of its neck and scored a brace, which probably should have turned into a hat-trick.
Ex-Spurs man, Jermaine Jenas, claims that Sonny has been the club’s best player for the past couple of years and that he deserves to be shortlisted.
“He’s fully earned the Ballon D’Or nomination.”
“For a couple of years he’s been Spurs’ best player!”
