Tottenham Hotspur were back to winning ways this evening as they defeated Everton 1-0 in North London thanks to a Keane own goal.
However, you wouldn’t have known that the Lilywhites were one up at half time when Hugo Lloris and Heung-min Son had a heated argument on the pitch.
Lloris came marching out from his goal to shout at the South Korean, perhaps for his lack of tracking back towards the end of the half when Richarlison flashed a shot just wide.
The events took some Spurs fans by surprise, not only because the team were winning, but also due to the normally mild-tempered natures of both Son and Lloris.
Fortunately, the two Spurs players were seen making up with a small embrace in the tunnel after half-time, which was followed up by a more convincing hug at full-time once the three points were secured.
Naturally, Jose Mourinho was asked about the incident in his post-match press conference following the win by Sky Sports (Main Event from 22:20).
The Spurs boss described the incident as ‘beautiful’:
? “It was beautiful, you need to demand from each other. I was really pleased”
