Jose Mourinho moved to emphatically end transfer speculation after reports linked Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Stuttgart winger Nicolas Gonzalez.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein had earlier claimed that the North London club had held preliminary discussions with the Argentine over a possible summer move with Stuttgart open to his departure if they received a bid in the region of €30million (£26.8million).
Mourinho was asked the question during yesterday’s pre-Fulham press conference and emphatically shut down the rumour by simply stating “no” when asked if there was any interest in the 22-year-old.
Gonzalez has impressed during Stuttgart’s return to the Bundesliga having scored five goals in ten top-flight matches this season (transfermarkt).
