Video: Jose Mourinho singles out Tottenham player for praise after Wycombe win

Jose Mourinho singled out Harry Winks’ performance for Tottenham Hotspur against Wycombe Wanderers for praise.

The Spurs head coach was asked after the match by BT Sports’ Reshmin Chowdury if any of the players who took to the field against the Chairboys impressed him and he took the advice of Steve Sidwell who was on co-commentary duty and named Winks as his man of the match.

While the Portuguese was not forthcoming with any other names, he did take the time to pay a compliment to Winks.

Sidwell was at Chelsea during Mourinho’s first spell in charge and described the former midfielder as one of his boys before admitting that Winks played well.

The academy graduate scored the matchwinner when he netted four minutes from time, before Tanguy Ndombele added a late brace to extend the scoreline somewhat harshly to 4-1 in the favour of the Premier League side who face Everton in the next round.
