Video: Journalist explains why Levy won’t sell to Man Utd and will accept a lower bid elsewhere

Football journalist Martin Lipton has claimed that he would be amazed if Tottenham Hotspur sell Christian Eriksen to Manchester United.

The Dane is now within the last twelve months of this contract in North London and has previously expressed his desire to part company with the club and seek a new challenge (Ekstra Bladet).

Eriksen has been heavily linked in recent days with a switch to Old Trafford ahead of the transfer window closing at 5pm tomorrow (AS).

However, due to the previous dealings between Daniel Levy and United over the likes of Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov, Lipton believes that it would prefer to sell the 27-year-old to a club on the continent rather than bolster United.

Opinion

I would rather see Eriksen head abroad rather than improve a Premier League rival.
