TalkSPORT reporter, Alex Crook has claimed that Danny Ings has his sights set on either Man United or Man City this summer.
The striker has just 12 months left on his current contract at Southampton and reportedly turned down a new deal this month that would have made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
It was reported earlier this month that Tottenham had made Ings their number one target this summer and that Nuno Espirito Santo wanted to pair him with Harry Kane up front as a two.
However, Crook has revealed that the England man has his sights set a little higher.

“Danny Ings wants to leave if a big club comes in. But I stress that there hasn’t been a single enquiry.”
“He has his sights set on Man United or City. I’m not sure either club will start banging the door down.”

Spurs Web Opinion:
This could be a waiting job. I do not expect Man City or Man United to go for Ings, so Spurs should wait and swoop later in the window with a fair price. I honestly believe that Tottenham are the best that Ings is going to get at this moment in time.
