Video: Journalist raises question marks over Spence, Perisic and Bissouma signings

According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, there are some major question marks over some of Tottenham’s summer signings.

Spurs have been proactive so far in the summer transfer window, managing to bring in six players through the door in the form of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, and Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.

Some pundits have suggested that on the back of Tottenham’s transfer activity so far, they could challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the title next season (Metro).

However, Crook has revealed he is not sold on some of the new faces who have arrived at the north London club.

He suggested that there are doubts over Spence’s attitude and questioned whether Perisic will be able to adapt to English football.

Spurs Web Opinion

This transfer window for Spurs has been more about improving the squad than the starting eleven. However, having said that the likes of Bissouma, Perisic and arguably Spence will likely improve our starting eleven.

I also believe that the increased competition for places could bring the best out of players like Hojbjerg, Kulusevski, Davies and Sessegnon. However, I do agree with Crook that talks of a title challenge are slightly premature, given the levels that City and Liverpool have reached over recent seasons.
